Competitive Awards
• Award year November 1 to October 31
• Qualification – rider/driver/handler and owner must be a NFHA member at the time the submission for the award is made. The score or placing can be earned prior to a member joining during the award year.
• Fee – included in membership for the first horse, each additional horse is $10 per year.
• Divisions –Senior and, Junior. Levels to be determined by entries.
• Minimum of one score, no maximum number of scores, multiple scores the median score. Email a link of score/results or upload copy of results for same rider and horse combination.
• Ribbons to sixth place for competition awards. All juniors 4-8 years old competing in any of these shows will get a participation ribbon.
• In case of a tie for the same place, both entrants will be given the same award but the award below is not awarded. For example, a tie for second/reserve, both will be given second but third will not be awarded.
• For classes that are not scored but placed by a judge’s opinion, the following chart will be used to determine the number of points.
Disciplines
• Dressage – All levels at dressage shows Sponsored by Hartsong Farm.
• Eventing – All levels at Horse Trials and 3-day events Sponsored by Full Moon Farm.
• Driving (CDE/CT/HD/ADT) – All levels Sponsored by Oak Hill Farm.
• Jumper – All levels
• Hunter – Flat classes and over fences for each division Sponsored by Full Moon Farm.
• Reining – All divisions
• Distance – All endurance, competitive ride, and ride and tie events. Log the distance completed per day and submit the total distance for the year.
• Competitive Trail Event – Any Trail Challenge type competition and any Competitive Trail Ride event where obstacles are scored. Can be ridden or in-hand. Submit placing and number of competitors in the level you are competing.
• Western – All classes requiring western tack and ridden at walk, jog, lope gaits.
• Working Equitation - an average of the Dressage and Ease of Handling tests from any level at a WE Trial held on the same day/at the same location. Only one averaged score submission would be required.
Juniors
Juniors can participate in all the Alliance awards programs including competitive awards. The Alliance recognizes that there are young juniors who may show in leadline or special classes that do not fall into our competitive categories. We offer a commendation award to these young juniors.

Complete the Competitive Award Submission Form: Make sure the form is filled out accurately with all the necessary details about the competition and the participant.

Check the Junior Commendation Award Box: On the submission form, there should be a clearly marked checkbox or option to indicate that the award is for a junior commendation. This helps differentiate between competitive awards and commendation awards.

Submit the Form: Ensure that the form is submitted by the deadline and to the correct address or online portal specified by the Alliance.

Celebrate the Achievement: Once the submission is processed, the junior participant will receive their special commendation ribbon, recognizing their effort and participation.
